Update from the General Secretary
Our response to the Covid-19 situation.
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 situation, we have taken the decision to cancel all upcoming Fabian Society events. We take huge pride in the events that we organise, however the safety of our members, guests and those who work in the venues we use is always our top priority.
This decision also applies to events organised by local Fabian Societies, the Young Fabians, Fabian Women’s Network, Welsh Fabians, Scottish Fabians and Fabian policy groups.
We will therefore be canceling the launch events for our new pamphlet with Wes Streeting MP and will instead be hosting an online launch event next week – watch out for more details.
Events are an integral part of the work of the Fabian Society and we will continue to offer you the opportunity to take part over the coming months by moving our events online.
In response to the government’s advice on social distancing we are also temporarily closing the Fabian office. The Staff team continue to offer a full service working from home but won’t be responding to telephone inquiries. If you would like to get in touch please do so by contacting info@fabians.org.uk.
Finally, everyone involved with the Fabian Society would like to send their best wishes go to all our members during this tough time and as well as a huge thank you to all those who are working tirelessly to serve the public.
